Fashion Design

The Nevsky Design Institute of the University associated with IA EAEC trains bachelors under the program “Fashion Design” in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the field of study 54.03.01 “Design”. After successfully passing the state final examination, students are issued a state bachelor's degree. Students liable for military service are granted a deferment from the army. The educational program is implemented in full-time and part-time forms of study.

The educational process under the program “Fashion Design” contributes to the development of students' creative abilities in the field of designing an artistic image of a person in a suit and creating models of clothes and accessories from various materials.

Students master the skills of working with line, shape, texture, color, learn the basics of ornament, study the means of harmonizing costume design objects. The implementation of projects is carried out on the basis of the use of computer-aided design systems and methods of constructive modeling of clothing, layout, technology of garments, taking into account the properties of materials, and computer design skills.

Costume designers implement their ideas at enterprises for the design and production of garments (salon ateliers, design studios, fashion houses), in experimental laboratories for the design of products for various purposes, at garment production enterprises of various forms of ownership. Graduates can also work in professional and “glossy” print media, in image and style companies, provide personal advice on the formation of a rational wardrobe of clothes, visual correction of the figure, taking into account the color type of appearance, carry out merchandising and window dressing projects, act as a buyer, as well as to create individual enterprises and author's design bureaus.
